Model: SGR
Externally Jacketed Type for Hot Oil or Steam Heating (up to 250°C)
The SPEW SGR Series is a jacketed Internal Arc Gear Pump designed for high-temperature fluid transfer applications where maintaining product temperature and viscosity is critical.
Its external heating jacket, round arc gear design, and robust metallurgy combine to deliver smooth, reliable, and thermally stable operation up to 250°C.
Ideal for bitumen, heavy oil, wax, and polymer processes, the SGR Series exemplifies SPEW’s commitment to precision, durability, and engineered excellence.
The SPEW SGR Series Internal Arc Gear Pump is a jacketed rotary positive displacement pump designed for transferring viscous and temperature-sensitive fluids that require constant heat to maintain flow characteristics.
Equipped with an external heating jacket for hot oil or steam circulation, the SGR pump ensures uniform temperature across the casing and bearing areas, preventing solidification or viscosity variation during operation.
The round arc gear design offers smooth, quiet, and pulse-free fluid transfer, making the SGR Series highly suitable for bitumen, heavy fuel oils, molasses, resins, waxes, and polymer-based products.
Engineered for operating temperatures between 180°C and 250°C, it provides reliable performance, excellent volumetric efficiency, and long service life even in continuous-duty conditions.
The SGR pump employs the internal round arc gear mechanism, consisting of an inner driving rotor and an outer idler gear that rotate eccentrically within the jacketed casing.
As the gears rotate, cavities form to draw in the liquid on the suction side and discharge it smoothly under pressure on the opposite side.
