Structures

The SPEW Progressive Cavity Single Screw Pump is built around a simple, robust mechanical structure designed for heavy-duty industrial service:

  • Rotor
    Precision-machined single-helix rotor in hardened steel, stainless steel or duplex alloys, with optional surface treatments for abrasion and corrosion resistance.
  • Stator
    Molded elastomer stator (NBR, EPDM, FKM, HNBR, PTFE, etc.) forming double-helix cavities with the rotor to generate the characteristic progressive displacement.
  • Suction & Discharge Casing
    Rigid casing in cast iron, carbon steel or stainless steel with standardized DIN/ANSI flanged connections; optional jacketed versions for heated products.
  • Drive Train
    Torsionally rigid coupling connects the rotor to a helical gear reducer and electric motor. Configurations include direct-coupled, baseplate-mounted and skid-mounted assemblies with optional safety coupling guard.
  • Bearing & Seal Arrangement
    Heavy-duty bearings (where applicable) support axial and radial loads; sealing options include single or double mechanical seals and gland packing for challenging services.
  • Baseframe / Skid
    Fabricated steel base or skid provides precise alignment of pump, gearbox and motor and simplifies transport, installation and maintenance.
